Part 4: RWS - Race Ready!

(Editor's Note: G-WeBconnect assigned staff photographers to each of RWS's vans for the RTB. Unfortunately, G-WeB's Debbie Digiflash (Van #2) had her camera confiscated at the finish line when RTB officials thought they had captured one of RWS's teammates on camera abruptly exposing herself during a quasi-delusional and sleep deprived state of functioning at Tent City at 5:00 AM. This rumor continues to be unconfirmed, but inside sources to G-WeB have indicated there was a bootie-flash by a runner in Van #1. At this time, G-WeB has only been able secure images of Van #1 in action. If images develop for Van #2, please forward them to G-WeBconnect.)

There was plenty of excitement in the air on race day. 300 teams had entered RTB Relay. With slower teams starting closer to the 7:30 AM staggered start time, and faster teams launched closer to 5:00 PM, RWS was scheduled to hit the course at 9:20 AM.

RWS awoke early at Hampton Inn, ate modestly at the inn's free-be breakfast bar, and arrived at 7:45 AM - on schedule, and just in time to catch up with Long Shots. The team was whole. They were rockin'.
