Upon opening G-WeB's home page, you'll be introduced to "g" and the Boys. "g's" backpacking début began in his backyard (the Adirondack's High Peak Region) and swiftly upgraded to trekking adventures at Yosemite, Grand Canyon (three times), Knife Edge, White Mountains and (this summer) the Grand Tetons. "g's" altitude-high has been Yosemite's, Mt. Dana at 13,053 feet. Most often, the Boys have a tough time keeping up with the 48 year old, endurance craving "g".

Can you get a more committed gear-testing, backpacking companion then "g"? Perhaps, but "g's" commitment to a website solely dedicated to hiking camaraderie, gear talk and "practical checklists for the not-so-practical hiker" has garnered him a corner of local notoriety... certainly, local curiosity.
