Backpacker magazine (May, 2002 - p.66; Pick it up.) has a contest going on. They will (again) choose 4 individuals who possess amazing skills in the area of hiking camaraderie and an insatiable desire to be one of their gear testers in Alaska for one week!

Knowing "g" as you do... you will want to read his bid for being a winner on the next two pages.
