LaBellishments are those highly (not-so) credible, (in)accurate and detailed accounts of "g" and his ridge huggin' buddies trying to master the art of being elite, ultra-light backpackers. They can recite articles from Backpacker magazine, and have years of REI, EMS, Campmor and Beans catalogs meticulously inventoried in Gotta Have A Lighter Pack Larry’s garage. With the average age being between 45 and 55, Motrin and their local physical therapists keep the Boys well oiled and (mostly) pain free.

"g" is no stranger to camping and canoeing. (Ask Kate, Abigail and Sarah about the zillions of times he dragged them to Harris Lake in the geez-most-awful weather!) However, on May 19th, 1999, while standing in "g's" driveway, he was (and some now believe, mistakenly) invited by Cecil B. DeWallis to join his Adirondack Mountain junkies to venture into new backpacking territory… Yosemite National Park!

Not having backpacked since a Star Scout in ‘68 (Philmont, NM), "g" jumped at the opportunity to join DeWallis and his canned-ham-totin' buddies into the wilderness. Wasting no time to re-outfit himself with gear, "g" threw himself into an e-commerce buying frenzy. In no time, FedEx began to make routine stops at his home as new gear gradually filtered past the unknowing eyes of his wife. Feverishly, he began to read anything about backpacking, like... Into Thin Air and Walk in the Woods. In very little time, "g" became the essence of backpacking!

Today, with a short list of impressive backcountry trips under his belt with the Boys, “g” has been maintaining somewhat of a running chronicle of their (mis)adventures... to which G-WeBconnect proudly presents as LaBellishments! Not always accurate, and mostly true, LaBellishments beg the question… What are these guys trying to prove, anyway?

G-WeB now offers you the many links and passageways through... LaBellishments.
