They're going... they're not going. They're going... going... gone! Into the wilderness went AXE, the Hat, What Gear Larry?, and "g". They entered the High Peak Region at The Garden, hiked 3 miles near Johns Brook Lodge where they set up camp, and then hike a 6-mile round trip to summit Lower Wolf Jaw. They would return home the following day... or would they?

You see, this was an over night trip to conquer the 4th peak that eluded the Boys when they topped Gothic, Armstrong and Upper Wolf Jaw the previous autumn due to sheer exhaustion hiking in snow and ice, and looming darkness. Of course, acting bigger then life itself, AXE had the notion to summit a second high peak before leaving on Sunday - Big Slide. Would he have followers?

But, let's start at the parking lot. If you were to forget to pack one thing... the thing that could make a backpacking trip disastrous... it could be your tent? (Oh, geez. It's amazing. For all the chatter about who's in... who's going home after breakfast on Sunday... and, who's tackling Big Slide before leaving... it was the rain that made it clear: Boys! Stuff your packs with wet tents! Let's boogie home!
