Part 6: Campsites Along the WCT
Night #1: Orange Juice Creek

Day 1 on the WCT was casual in terms of difficulty. The Boy's introduction to the WCT took them to the Panchena Lighthouse where they had lunch and began relationships with various hikers from around the world whom they would gently crisscross with over the next 6 days.

They would camp at Orange Juice Creek among zillions of weather-beaten logs that dotted the high shore line. They were alone... just the Boys and dried up sea urchin shells!

The Knee and the Hat share a tent (l).
"g" sets up his bivy sack between two logs (r); he gradually developed the keen art of entering the small mouth of his bivy without filling it with beach sand!

 
The Hat prepares a Chicken Tia dish as the Knee assumes the role of 1st Chef Assistant.
   

AXE and the Knee wished they (now) had a bear proof food canister!
