There was no wind. Thank goodness. The 6-Degree-ers hiked and felt solid. Visibility was clear and at about 1030 it started to snow for about 30 minutes. It was beautiful.

The first real thinking occurred when the Boys came to their final junction for the summit - only 0.3 miles up. There were signs pointing to the summits of Rooster Comb, Hedgehog, and Snow Mt, and Highway 73. However, there was no discernible trail to follow for the summit at Snow, and the sign itself pointed to a large boulder! Tromping through deep, virgin snow resulted in "g" and Al abandoning their paths-to-nowhere and eventually followed DeWallis... who in fact (and surprisingly)... was on the trail.

Once at the top, the sun came out. The air was still. Instead of hustling down the mountain the 6-Degree-ers decided to break out their stove and "g's" Titanium pot to cook up some Ramon Noodles and hot chocolate. Before heading down, the Hat even caught "g" wearing a noodle!
Epilog: As it would be, the Boys had a successful trip. Iron Al did return his belly pack for a refund; Dewallis did succumb to snowshoe envy and purchased the same pair he had rented for $15 (as of this writing, he's yet to tell his wife), and "g" didn't stab himself with his crampons when descending the steepest part of the summit. They're already planning their next accent to...
