| Above: Having safely arrived in Jackson Hole, the limo patiently waited for the Boys. The Knee and Retired Guy were pleased that High Altitude (although somewhat still in Ativan Land) was smiling (and moderately alert) with both feet firmly planted on the ground. The Parkway Motel - just two blocks from the center of Jackson Hole... and (fortunately for "g") adjacent to Doc Haye's family medicine clinic... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The flight to Jackson Hole was barely eventful. However, the stewardess had to don the emergency-passenger-mop and sop-up gallons of perspiration from Never Gonna Fly Again Larry. For some unexplainable reason, Perspiration Larry couldn't figure out why his 3-months of desensitization therapy for flying hadn't worked. Apparently, Larry had lapsed on paying Dr. Co-pay Jim his co-payment for therapy, and the good natured (and sometimes cynical) psychologist placed the ol' HMO Timed Limited Successful Treatment Hex on him.(Live and learn.) Somewhere above the cloud line, "g" broke out the G-WeBconnect Backpack Weigh-in Poll. A leisurely traveling activity intended to keep the Boys loose and relaxed. However, the "fun" turned ugly and paranoid. The Boys became defensive with the thought that any one of them could be critically targeted with anything but the lightest pack. Egos were at stake. At one point, Ol' Whiskey Tottin' Retired Guy cried out, "I think the youngest should carry my share of community gear! It's not fair!" (Sitting 9 rows in front of the Boys, the passengers around Ol' Retired Guy became visibly alarmed because they had no hint as to what he might be referring to!) By the time they landed in WY, High Altitude was emerging from Ativan Land. Somewhat dazed he quietly asked The Marshal, "Have we left Albany... yet?" | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Above/Right: On Day-2 in Jackson Hole, the boys rented a van and toured Teton Village. The purpose being, to check-out the Aerial Tram. On the following day, they would take the tram from 6K to 10.5K feet and begin their 5 days of backpacking. Larry became gaga and unglued at the prospects of dangling 1500 feet in the air. (Unbeknown to Larry, the "summit" he's eyeballing only marked 1/4th of the total altitude gain!) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
