Last Day By Day 4 the Boys could feel the excitement about reaching the south rim. They left Horn Creek about 0800, hiked 2-1/2 miles east on the Tonto Trail, and picked up the northbound, Bright Angel trail at Indian Gardens Campground. From there, they hiked another 5 miles to the rim… Burgers and Beer! Way Above: Jim, Mike and Roger get a good laugh at "g" at Indian Gardens. Apparently his brother pulled another fast one. While "g" was filling his hydration bladder, RB and Satellite-Don took off for the rim! Geez… the Jogging LaBella Brother rivalry had kicked in... again! The race to the rim was on! |
